Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence after being highly praised at an audition. Not only did it boost her confidence, but also her goals were changed. At 22, she graduated from New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, she started her professional career, making her first appearance on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the part of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. A well-known performer, she also has released songs and plays. Also, she is an activist and works extensively in the field of LGBT rights.
